Rosthwaite Fell (Bessyboot)

Overview
Height: 1,771 Feet - 540 Metres
Grid Ref: NY 258 124
Area: Southern
Ordnance Survey: OL6
Wainwright Guidebook: Four

Rosthwaite Fell, shadowing the level strath of the Stonethwaite valley, is really the extremities of the Scafells (although seldom recognised as such) and a strong walker may start from the green pastures here and make a fine high level walk over the fell and the adjacent Glaramara to the summit of Scafell Pike, few do this.
